Strong Mayor Powers:
We have questions

On April 22nd, we wrote Mayor Matrosovs to ask her thoughts on the strong mayor powers that the the province just granted to the Town.

Our email to the Mayor

They mayor responded to us on the morning of Saturday, May 3rd, just before our Annual General Meeting.  The town then issued a press release on Monday, May 5th.

The Mayor’s Press Release

Town staff will be presenting their interpretation of the powers and implications for the town at the Council meeting on May 12th.  We’ll have more questions after that.
