BMRA’s Response to the Official Plan Review

The BMRA’s Planning Committee has submitted comments to Council on the Official Plan Review, describing our concerns with the Plan.

Some of the highlights of our memo:

• we strongly recommend rejecting building heights of up to 5 storeys in downtown Thornbury;

• we support the affordable housing recommendations;

• we support maintaining the existing density recommendations;

• we have comments regarding parklands, environmental concerns and the community planning permit system.
