Council members, and Town CAO Everitt, stated that declaring the Town faces a housing crisis will help focus all stakeholders on finally addressing our lack of affordable / rental housing, will provide a clear message to developers regarding our needs and expectations, and should facilitate establishing specific housing mix targets and timeframes to hit
WIth Council's endorsement, the TBM Housing Strategy Working Group will focus its efforts on:
identifying and quantifying the extent of our housing needs
determining the barriers and challenges that have caused the lack of progress in meeting those needs
recommendations regarding the tools, resources and approaches that could help solve our housing problems
